The Here Gallery in Bristol is currently showing new work by Sarajevo born artist Yellena James. Her beautiful drawings are each penned by hand with incredibly detail and intricacy, described as “colourful arrangements of organic shapes and tangled lines/ at once floral and alien, organic and sci-fi, crafty and fantastic.” Her exhibition runs until 24th October, and is well worth a look.

Died Young, Stayed Pretty is the directoral debut of Eileen Yagahoobian, a unique documentary that explores the thriving underground network of music/gig poster artists in the USA. The film gets up close and personal with artists who managed “to create posters that are strikingly obscene, unflinchingly blasphemous and often quite beautiful,” and were involved with low and high profile promotion of bands such as Sonic Youth & Radiohead.
