Inkygoodness Gift Guide 2015 | £10 and under
Stuck for ideas this Christmas? Gift inspiration can be a tricky task so, to help, over the next few days we will be sharing our top picks!
Starting off with gifts under a £10, we have a selection of beautiful products from our favourite independent shops to share…
£6.50 | Howkapow
There is nothing we don’t love about this boldly patterned notebook from Howkapow! Doodled patterns, bold shapes and a primary colour palette come together to create a striking and energetic aesthetic and gold foil detailing and lusciously patterned edges add a touch of sophistication to proceedings.
£10 | Faye Moorhouse
A one-of-a-kind piece of art for just £10 is an unusual find but luckily for us Faye Moorhouse’s freehand and fast-paced style allows her to sell one-off “wonky drawings” for less than many charge for a duplicate print. The joyful spontaneity of Faye’s work is bound to bring a smile to any recipient’s face on Christmas day!
Bringing together short stories, flash fiction, poetry and illustration, Popshot Magazine is a winner with artists and writers alike. Each issues is based on a theme with the most recent edition, The Curious Issue, being based around curiosity and featuring a story about the discovery of a giant machine capable of answering all of life’s questions as well as a tale set in the workshop of a fraudulent creator of abnormalities.
A year’s subscription to Popshot includes three issues and access to digital editions of every back issue for just £10 including postage.
£10 | The Printed Peanut
No Christmas stocking could possibly be complete without a pair of colourful, patterned socks and this pair – designed in collaboration with The Printed Peanut and Lookmate London – are as fun as they are festive! The contemporary cut-paper design of the socks is inspired by Folk Art traditions and each pair comes packaged in a little white box to keep nosey present-pokers guessing.
£1.49 | La Petite Jungle
Our final and cheapest gift idea in this segment of our 2015 guide is a wild and charming little postcard by illustrator Laura Kientzler of La Petite Jungle. Pop it in a frame for from a charity shop or one pound store and you have an original, thoughtful gift for under and fiver.
