We Like: Artem Proot

Artem Proot is an Ukrainian illustrator creating futuristic world's inspired by street art, comics and character design.

He recently presented a new exhibition of his latest illustration works at Bunkermuz Gallery in Ternopil, Ukraine, titled ‘Hydra’ – inspired by a Nintendo-like cartoon character living in a ‘ghost world.’

Back in 2011, he quit his job to dedicate himself to painting in the tranquility of his flat – a space now filled with huge canvases.

I always try to create work in which the viewer sees something different, I want the viewer to come up with their own interpretation of the story – each picture is separate, yet at the same time, together, you are able to see a relationship.
