We Like: Chi He

Chief illustrator of Anorak Magazine, and freelance character designer and toy maker, Chi He fuzes a surreal blend of quirky humour and whimsicality with elements of her Chinese heritage.

With a background in fashion and illustration Chi has worked across editorial illustration, live drawing, murals, pattern design, and more, with a portfolio of clients that includes Elle magazine, Harper’s Bazzar, and Milk X.

In addition to her freelance work, Chi also combines her passion for character design and toy making within her side project Gogo’s Chop Shop, creating interior products from her designs and prints.

ChiHe was recently seen at creative studio UNIT9 painting her unique characters on the windows of their London office as part of the growing Hoxton Window Project, following in the footsteps of many renowned artists and illustrators.
