Wild Fridays: [It’s the legendary double issue!]

As Christmas approaches, illustrator Simon Wild looks at some of his favourite Christmas Radio Times covers.

I have long been a fan of children’s illustrator and writer Judith Kerr, best known for her Mog series and The Tiger Who Came To Tea. So I was delighted to see that her work had been chosen this week for the legendary Christmas Radio Times this year!

With so many devices and subscription services around to check and watch your TV listings, you might be forgiven for thinking that buying your TV guide in print might be a little old fashioned. But what can be better for building anticipation than flicking through the pages and circling the programmes you want to watch? This is a Christmas tradition I have upheld since I was a child and I still do it today.

Having the Christmas Radio Times by the sofa always adds to the comfort and nostalgia of the season.

This week I have rounded up a few of my favourite covers from years gone by. If I could find copies of them I would probably put them up with the Christmas decorations every year. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
