Currently studying Illustration and Animation at Kingston University, Ben C. Carr impressed us with his character design. Mainly working with ink pen and photoshop, he has a “very broad set of influences, from Bauhaus designers to Americana and Native American visual culture”.

Still a student, Ben enjoys trying new ways of working, and his keen interest in narrative and zine / book making has inspired him to create “around 20 books and zines in the past year.”

“If there was one area of art and design I wish I was an expert in it would be printmaking, so I intend on doing a lot of it over the next year or so. I play drums, go kayaking and dress as a Zebra probably a little too often” Thanks for sharing Ben!

With his disctinctive style and focused approach we have no doubt that Ben has a stella career in Illustration ahead of him – we look forward to seeing his work progress.
