We stumbled across the work of London based illustrator Juliana Wang via Wrap magazine earlier this year and we were instantly blown away by the rich, tonal qualities of her artwork.

We stumbled across the work of London based illustrator Juliana Wang via Wrap magazine earlier this year and we were instantly blown away by the rich, tonal qualities of her artwork.

Making use of broad, bold brush strokes and ink, with found textures and a touch of digital mastery, her artworks reflect a handmade, print aesthetic.

Taking inspiration from nature, urban landscapes and contrasting colour palettes, her illustrations have a strong narrative quality which has won her a growing list of clients.

Born and raised in London, Central Saint Martins graduate Wang exhibited at Illustrative Berlin last year and is currently developing a graphic novel exploring conflicting cultural identities, alongside a teaching post at The Prince’s Trust Drawing Club at Whitechapel Gallery in London.
