Featured Designer: Maud Vantours

It may appear difficult to build a career grounded in paper-craft, to truly establish a strong enough visual identity that makes you stand out from the crowd.

Maud Vantours – however – has done exactly that, and with apparent ease. Excavating layer after layer to create vivid intricate objects and patterns with often geometric and surreal, dreamlike references. Paper in the hands of Maud becomes a precious object.

Working across editorial and set design, her striking creations have been used as physical props within editorial campaigns, and as backdrops and environments for large complex in-store window displays. Her clients include Adidas, Tag Heuer, Yves Saint Laurent and many more high profile international brands.

Beyond her commercial work Vantours’ recognisable style has been harness to create a series of household collections, including a limited edition wallpaper for MUES-design, a phone case for RAD and even an innovative fruit bowl for TOPO.
