Golden Cosmos present Nobrow Locomotion

Berlin based illustration and design duo Daniel Dolz and Doris Freigofas aka Golden Cosmos, have recently released a wonderful tribute to the locomotive.

Published by Nobrow, Locomotion: A History of Locomotives is a new concertina book that unfolds to reveal a vibrantly illustrated and detailed double-sided panoramic that tells the history of trains, from early steam engines through to the modern high-speed trains of today.

The 139cm panorama is an intricate and visual stunning celebration of a mode of transport that has shaped the globe.

The illustrations do more than simply tell the history of the train, they also convey the experiences of the people that have travelled on them, and continue to use them today.

Crammed full of diverse, adventurous and industrious characters, Golden Cosmos have captured the true sense of what the railway has meant to transforming how we travel, trade, and explore – designed to sit proud on a child’s bedroom shelf as it can be framed to sit on an office wall.

‘Locomotion – A History of Locomotives’ is available now to purchase from www.nobrow.net for £10.00
