We Like: Jesse Lefkowitz

Jesse Lefkowitz caught his first big break in the editorial industry at the age of seven as a staff illustrator for Koo Koo News, a publication based out of the second floor of his home town public library.

Fuelled on juice and cookies he plastered the pages of the news with his cartoons, portraits and rubber stamp art. Since leaving the paper Jesse has gone on to work for a variety of publications from Rolling Stone to Runner’s World to the New York Times. Combining bold, flat colour, deep hues and found textures give his illustrations a retro, grainy feel. Jesse is currently taking a break from freelance commissions whilst he settles into a full time role at Google – here are a few of our picks from his portfolio.
