Natured inspired illustration by Phil Constantinesco aka Faunesque

Born in 1982, in a small town somewhere between the Vosges mountains and the Rhine River, Phil Constantinesco has an enduring interest in flora and fauna, and a resulting graphic style that is bold and complex.

After completing his studies in Visual Communication in Strasbourg, Phil Constantinesco founded Zurich29 with Dorian Gourg. After briefly working for MTV in Paris, he focused upon becoming a freelance motion designer. He lives and works in Brussels and spends as much time as he can drawing.

His drawings offer a vision of nature from several perspectives at once, in the hope, to quote Edward Hoagland, of “transport[ing] one’s wounds into nature to find a cure, a conversion, a rest, or anything one may want.”

He still lives and works in Paris and spends as much time as he can drawing: “Faunesque” is his personal portfolio.
