Specialising in character design and hand written typography, Marylou Faure uses a vibrant colour palette to create sleek illustrations. Her bold portfolio of work has won Marylou work from big name clients around the world including Nokia, Google and Instagram.
Working texture-free, Marylou relies heavily on shape and colour within her practise. Stripped-back styles such as Marylou’s often run the risk of becoming limp and lifeless. However, Marylou has mastered the knack of injecting flat energy into her work.
Each of Marylou’s pieces has a sense of motion too it. Whether it is a waving hand or jumping bunny, there is always an implied movement in each of her creations. Little dashes and strokes aren’t just cute design details. They add a sense of motion, thus adding energy and excitement to the piece.

Marylou is also a proud member of Puck collective. Founded in 2010 by 5 illustrators and artists, Puck has grown into one of the largest and most revered illustration collectives in Britain. Adding new members each year, the collective put on exhibitions, publish comics and collaborate on all sorts of other fun creative projects.
