Wild Fridays: [Thomas Burden]

Simon Wild steps into the hyper realistic 3D rendered world of Thomas Burden

When you first catch a glimpse of Thomas Burden’s vivid and surrealistic imagery, you might be forgiven for thinking that you are looking at models constructed by plastic and paper. But look a little more closely and you will discover that Thomas’ constructions are photo realistic computer graphics.

Thomas’ inventions could easily have come from an imaginary experimental toy shop,  let loose and creating havoc after closing time. Or anarchic machines just tamed long enough for their portrait to be taken. With his work, Thomas effortlessly takes the illusion of reality to new levels and as an audience, makes us question what we are viewing.

I could stare at these digital toys all day long!

Have a great weekend!
