Mindset for Creatives – FAQ

We’ve had lots of questions about our upcoming Mindset for Creatives Coaching Programme and we’re here to help you decide if it’s right for you!

Q: I’m not an illustrator – can I still join?

Absolutely! Our four month programme has been designed for creatives of all disciplines, and whilst our courses are predominantely aimed at emerging and practising illustrators, artists and graphic designers, our new coaching programme will benefit anyone working in the creative industries.

Q: Can I do the programme alongside a full time job? How much work is involved?

Of course! All our programmes are designed to fit in around your schedule – however we do want you to treat our live sessions as if we are in a room together, which means attending live as much as possible. We also ask that all participants minimise outside distractions and that means switching off slack, mobile phones, work emails and being fully present at all times. No multi-tasking!

More details on time commitment can be found further down the page.

Q: I’m not a native English speaker – how accessible is it for me? Will you have subtitles / captions on the recordings?

W will have closed captions enabled on all live sessions, and we will also use the Otter plugin for live transcription. We are also exploring subtitles for recorded sessions and audio recordings too.

Q: I’m an introvert and not sure how comfortable I am talking in front of people I don’t know – can I enrol and just listen in?

We are committed to cultivating a safe space to gently encourage discussion and a place to share your challenges, thoughts, feelings and experiences and build trust within the group.

Stepping out of your comfort zone is essential to get the most out of the experience – and that may mean feeling a little uncomfortable from time to time – self development can be challenging!

We are of course sensitive to the individual needs of creatives who wish to participate but may need extra support, and we aim to be as inclusive as possible. We will not ask you to share anything you wish to keep private.

If you have any worries or concerns before you enrol please do get in touch (lisa@inkygoodness.com).

We can guarantee that the results and mindset shifts you will experience as a result of taking part will be worth the investment of your time, energy and commitment.

Q: What do I need to prepare before the course begins?

No prep required! Just bring yourself and a pen and notebook to take notes during the sessions. Journaling exercises to accompany our live sessions will be provided along the way to support your self development work and reflective practice, supported by our private space inside Inkygoodness Collective.

Q: How much time do I need to set aside?

The live sessions are 60 minutes long throughout February – June. We’re running a mix of zooms, live talks and daily check-ins. I’d recommend allowing an extra 2-3 hours per week for exercises and to attend the smaller mastermind sessions.

Q: Who will I be working with?

Mindset for Creatives will be run by three leading coaches who each bring their own experiences, insight and expertise to the programme. Read our event listing for full details on our coaches.

Q: What if I can’t make the live sessions? Will they be recorded?

Yes! Everything is recorded every week – so don’t worry if you can attend every session or just a few – or prefer to watch them later – we’ve got you covered. We encourage live participation as much as possible – but we also understand that differing schedules and timezones may mean you can’t always be present on the zooms and we don’t want that to be a reason why you don’t enrol.

Recordings will stay live even after the programme – so you can access the recordings forever!

Please do enrol in Mindset for Creatives even if the timings of the sessions don’t quite suit your schedule or family commitments – everyone enrolled will also get access to our private group, hosted inside Inkygoodness Collective where you can catch-up on live sessions, join our community, reflect on the work you’re doing as a group and access further support and resources.

I can guarantee you will get so much out of the experience!
