Delicately balanced abstract artworks by Ann Pajuvali
Ann Pajuväli (born 1990 in Tallinn) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a BA degree in printmaking. Her abstract approach and interest in comics culture influences her constructed artworks.
Taking a minimalistic approach, Ann Pajuvali‘s delicately stylised drawings are injected with fragments of colour which are offset by patches of monochrome texture. Each of the carefully selected elements works in harmony with one another, creating a stark new environment.

“In Ann’s intoxicatingly organised world, there’s a fascinating relationship between the geometric and organic”
In Ann’s world, people and animals are depicted realistically whilst everything around them is abstracted slightly. All desks are perfectly organised and plants grow only perfect shaped leaves. Add in it’s pastel-filled colour scheme and lush textures and it’s hard not to feel a little jealous of the fictional inhabitants of Ann’s sleek new universe.
Focusing on a less is more approach, each element has to be perfectly posed to strike the right balance. Ann has honed her craft, editing out all unnecessary details and creating a minimalist dreamworld in the process.
