Weekly Wishlist: Sale Shopping
Here are just some of the bargains you can still find while shopping independently.
As the tradition of January sales pass we distract ourselves from the fact that the festivities have come to an end by buying things we don’t really need because they are cheaper than usual. It’s important not to forget about the smaller businesses at this time of year though. Whilst they may not to be able to offer as huge discounts as the bigger brands, they can often offer much more unique and interesting products to begin with.
Here are 7 of our favourite products we spotted in small business sales…
Palm Springs Zip Pouch by Jacqueline Colley (£8.50)
This pouch from Jacqueline Colley is the perfect new accessory to help you keep your bits and bobs organised. Jacqueline excels at creating seamless, intricate pattern designs. This particular pattern features an array of tropical plants, pools, flamingo floats and contemporary architecture.
Bison & Cat Tote by Lieke Van Der Vorst from No Guts No Glory (£14.40)
No Guts No Glory sell an eclectic selection of stationery and homeware. This tote bag design by Lieke Van Der Vorst is a prime example of the intricately detailed illustration style they favour. The brand also favours ethically made products; with ones made from organic cotton in a fair-trade factory.
Love Print by Katie Leamon (£15)
If you are looking to get ahead of the game and find an affordable Valentines day present for that special someone in your life, this “Love” print from Katie Leamon is perfect. The simplicity of the statement sends a clear and positive message, while the contemporary design keeps it from being too cringey.
White Garden Bone China Cup by The Printed Peanut (£11.50)
The cold weather and lack of festive cheer makes getting out of bed in the morning that little bit more difficult. Adding this sweet garden-inspired cup into your morning routine however is bound to put a bit of spring back into your step. All Printed Peanut products have a joyful aesthetic and will help brighten even the dullest of mornings.
Lollo Tray by Fine Little Day

You won’t be able to resist smiling back at the characterful trays cheeky little face. Even if you don’t intend on buying anything, the Fine Little Day online store is worth a visit as it is snowing at moment.
Rill Doll by Donna Wilson from Ohh Deer (£33.95)
Out of all the items on this week’s list, this Rill doll from Ohh Deer is the one you are least likely to be able to pass off as an essential purchase. Luckily it’s so cute you won’t care! The dolls are designed and made by Donna Wilson in Scotland. Donna uses only the finest lambswool when knitting her dolls. She also gives each one a name and personality before sending it off to it’s new home.
Arden Rose Tropical Birds Notebook by Ohh Deer (£3.50)
Our final pick from the independent sales is also the biggest bargain. From the many they released in 2017, Ohh Deer’s collaboration with Arden Rose was our favourite collection. This luscious, tropical patterned notebook is one of our top picks from the range. As a little new year treat, Ohh Deer have taken 71% off it’s price so it is now just £3.50.
